Button Up mini Grants from Efficiency Vermont

Button Up Day of Action - Request for Proposals: Efficiency Vermont is seeking proposals from town energy committees and other comparable community-based organizations and groups to support community-based public outreach efforts around 2016 Button Up Day of Action.  Local energy groups are encouraged to think broadly about the best ways to engage with community members around improving thermal efficiency, and are encouraged to implement community engagement activities both on and leading up to Button Up Day – scheduled for November 12, 2016.  Efficiency Vermont anticipates awarding up to 15 grants with a maximum amount of $2,500/grant.  The community mini-grants are part of a larger promotional effort that Efficiency Vermont plans to implement in the fall 2016 to promote home efficiency improvements. The Town of Pownal (the town) is seeking architects/consultants with the capacity and experience required to perform a feasibility analyses for the town municipal building project. Project will consist of review of an existing structure that would be converted into town office space. This structure would be reviewed for possible renovation requirements to meet the town municipal office facility’s needs. Individuals hired would also be called upon to provide information and guidance on learning about agencies in which the town could seek supporting funds for the renovation/construction of the structure into a municipal building. Development of the project outline must show time line with steps necessary to allow for design, approval of design and town hearings for a possible bond vote. 

The town has elected to seek assistance required to perform these task from one or more qualified architects/consultants.

The period of service for this contract(s) begins July 21, 2016 and ends January 19, 2017. The town reserves the right to extend the period of service subject to the mutual consent of the parties.

Proposals must be received by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016.

Zoning Administrator Position

Zoning Administrator: The Town of Pownal is seeking a part-time zoning administrator. The zoning administrator is the enforcing arm of the Town's zoning bylaw and issues zoning permits. This is a three (3) year appointed position. Compensation includes monthly stipend, fees from permits and zoning verifications issued, and mileage expense.
